This program is designed as an effective and structured visiting scholars program that supports international scholars from Kazakhstan in building knowledge and capacity in research methods, innovative teaching approaches, and academic leadership.
This is a custom program that includes one-on-one mentoring and collaboration with CEHD faculty, intensive schedule of academic seminars and workshops, on and off campus activities, and individualized time for research planning.
This program is offered within the framework of “500 scholars’ program” of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan. It is our understanding that you will receive financial support through the “500 scholars fellowship program” and your own personal funds.
August 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024
We have very interesting and interactive workshops with our mentors, attend their classes and determine our plans for future cooperation. They are encouraging and doing everything to keep us motivated and supported throughout our program. Our collaboration has evolved and strengthened, and we hope it expands into new areas.
Visiting scholars will be matched one-to-one with faculty experts in their field of study.
The program supports scholars in these areas
Designed as a cohort model with individualized experiences, each scholar will be paired with one CEHD faculty during their time on campus according to their specialty and research interests. As a group they will participate in organized seminars, workshops, field experiences, and projects and will work one-one-one with the assigned faculty mentor to develop an individualized research agenda. Additionally, scholars will prepare and present their research plan.
