My research involves the interdisciplinary intersection of sport and exercise psychology, sport sociology, cultural studies, prevention science, public health, and child development. Through this interdisciplinary perspective and the use of multiple qualitative methods, I specifically study the development, implementation, and evaluation of culturally relevant physical activity programming for underserved adolescent girls.

It is my personal and professional goal to listen to the voices of underserved girls and collaboratively create sustainable, culturally relevant physical activity programming, so that ALL girls have the opportunity to reap the physical and psychosocial benefits of active living!
