Bio

I am a public high school teacher in Japan with over 13 years of experience. I have also taught at a public high school in Washington State for a year as an exchange teacher from Japan. I am a founder of Teachers of Japan, an online platform for teachers to encounter diverse professional values, perspectives, and experiences. My research interest focuses on bringing diverse and critical perspectives of teachers to make innovations from the ground. I am interested in how international education and comparative education can contribute to empowering teacher's identities.
