Biography

I am interested in higher education as an environment for personal, social, and civic development within our globally interconnected world. My area of research interest is internationalization at home on university campuses. Specifically I hope to look at if students who participate in internationalization at home activities develop career readiness competencies through their engagement.

I have enjoyed gaining experience in various corners of higher education including: residence life, first year programs, new international student programs, graduate programs, and now career services for undergraduate international students.

I am a member of the National Career Development Association, and member of the International Student Services Committee within the group. In 2019 I initiated the International Students Knowledge Community within the Hire Big 10+ Career Consortium. At the University of Minnesota, I am a member of the Career Development Network, a group of student services staff who support student career development in our work on campus.
