CEHD Commencement and the SSW Recognition Ceremony dates are confirmed for May 2020. There are two ceremonies, and you may attend one or both. Ceremonies are only held once a year and all graduating students and soon-to-be grads are welcome to attend.
Friday, May 15, 2020, 4 p.m. at 3M Arena at Mariucci.
The College of Education and Human Development hosts the official Commencement ceremony for all CEHD graduates. A presentation of degree candidates is part of the ceremony. Caps, gowns, hoods, and tassels are worn. No tickets are necessary, and seating is available on a first-come basis.
Thursday, May 14, 2020, 4:00 p.m. at the Ted Mann Concert Hall.
This is only for graduates of the School of Social Work. At this ceremony, we recognize and honor students’ progress toward the MSW or PhD degrees. This is not considered an official University commencement event, but there is a presentation of degree candidates. Most students wear caps, gowns, and degree hoods, though this is not required. Each student will receive 6-8 guest tickets, depending on the number of participants.
