About Marjorie

Marjorie earned her Bachelor of Arts from Augsburg College in Secondary Education and Theology. She earned her first graduate degree from the home of basketball, Springfield College in Massachusetts, as a Master of Science in Human Services-Community Counseling and Psychology. She completed her Master of Arts in Theology from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. Marjorie is also an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher-500 hours with the Yoga Alliance, and holds multiple certifications in various forms of yoga. Before joining TRIO SSS, Marjorie spent the bulk of her career working with youth and their families caught in cycles of crisis and chaos. She has been a youth worker, crisis worker, family worker, program manager and program director for various non-profits in the twin cities and in southern California. She has expertise in program development, implementation, and team building towards excellent programmatic outcomes for both clients and organizational stakeholders. Marjorie is a people-centered, paper second thinking professional who believes in every individual’s ability to own their journey towards fulfilling their purpose and finding their passions in life. Having been a low-income college student who struggled with a debilitating illness, Marjorie is excited to help TRIO students in their college journey so they have an enriching college experience.

Marjorie is the founder of Temple Within where she works as a spiritual wellness consultant, yoga teacher and facilitator for individuals and groups seeking grounding, clarity, and peace. Marjorie wants to help others find their joy, live with ease, and revel in their prosperity.

Outside of work Marjorie is passionate about travel, the arts and her backyard garden.
