The Women’s Sport Fan Journey: What is your experience as a women’s sport fan?

Women’s Sport Fans! You are invited to participate in a research study which has been designed to help us better understand the experiences of women’s sports fans by filling out a 5-7 minute online survey via Qualtrics. To participate in this research, you must be 18 years or older and a self-identified fan of women’s sports. The survey will explore three main aspects of your experience as a women’s sport fan: pre-event access, event consumption and post-event engagement.

The full inclusion of Black women in women’s college basketball is important and the lack of Black women in head coaching positions is troubling. We are conducting a research study to better understand the experiences of Black women who are coaching in NCAA DI women’s basketball. We hope through this research, we can better understand the barriers to these women, and help administrators create a more welcoming culture that affords Black women the same access and opportunities as their colleagues.

We are seeking interview participants and you are eligible if you identify as a Black woman and currently coach, or have coached, in NCAA Divison I women's basketball.
