Four trans/non-binary educators will share their varied experiences. Each person will give an introduction including a brief history of their paths to their current work. There will then be a question and answer session with audience participation. Included on the panel are:
El Warnest: a current K-12 educator working with deaf/hard of hearing students
Clark Hoelscher: a former secondary teacher who is currently a K12 director of a gender and sexualities center in a large public school district.
Qui Alexander: PhD student with experience with at-risk youth education programs
Kyle Whipple: assistant professor in education at UW-Eau Claire and former secondary teacher
Each of these panel members has a unique perspective on the educational system and is currently playing a unique role within that system.
