Women Coaches Symposium
This day long symposium was first held in 2014, by women and for women sport coaches at all levels. The symposium was held in conjunction with and in celebration of National Girls and Women Sport Day on the University of Minnesota campus in the TCF Bank Stadium Club Room, courtesy of Gopher Athletics. Distinguished Lecture Series
The Distinguished Lecture Series is given twice yearly and exemplifies the Tucker Center’s commitment to community outreach and public education by making links to the Twin Cities metro and outstate areas. To learn more about the current Distinguished Lecture, click here.
Tucker Table
The Tucker Center also hosts The Tucker Table—a monthly research presentation and discussion. The Tucker Table provides opportunities for collaboration and encourages intellectual insight within the School of Kinesiology and across campus. Tucker Table is free and open to all interested parties.
Film Festival
In 2011, the Tucker Center held its first
annual Film Festival. The
event, presented by the University of Minnesota Athletic
Department, kicked off the 25th annual celebration of
National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) and
featured the Minnesota Premiere of Sony’s “The Mighty
Macs”.
