15 | Alumni Wine Tasting and Tour at Saint
Croix Vineyards
Join us from 5:30 to 8:00 at the Saint Croix Vineyards and
reconnect with alumni from the College of Education and Human
Development. Enjoy a private tour through the picturesque
vineyards and learn about grapes developed by the University of
Minnesota. A wine tasting will follow, allowing you to sample
eleven different varieties of fine Minnesota wine. The evening
will conclude with hors d-oeuvres and dessert. This event is for
G.O.L.D. alumni (Graduates of the Last Decade) but is open to
all alumni and friends. The cost is $10 per person.

23 | CSPP Alumni Reception and Mini-Lecture
The Counseling and
Student Personnel Psychology (CSPP) Alumni Council, CSPP,
and CEHD Alumni Relations will host an Alumni Reception and
Mini-Lecture on Thursday, October 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the
Education Sciences Building. Conversation, confections, and
connections are sure to abound. Professor John Romano will give
a brief talk on recent trends and research on prevention
psychology. You will have the chance to connect with former
classmates, meet new people, and enjoy beautiful views of the
Mississippi River and downtown Minneapolis from the recently
restored historic campus building. You will also have the
opportunity to talk with members of the Alumni Council and learn
about how you might become involved. RSVP by October 15 to

Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) hosts its annual awards
reception and ceremony from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the
McNamara Alumni
Center. Students march in the 2007 Homecoming Parade.

First-Year Student Program Public Lecture with Paul
Rusesabagina, author of An Ordinary Man. 7:30 p.m. in
Northrop Auditorium.
10 | Mentor Program Orientation and Dinner
The Mentor Program
Orientation and Kickoff Dinner will be held from 5:30 – 8:00
p.m. in Coffman Union.
Society board meetings
Society board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every
other month (except July and December). The Alumni Society also
has several events planned for the coming year. For more information
