Commencement

CEHD commencement is held once a year in the spring. No tickets are necessary, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Mariucci Arena has ample seating.

Commencement Slideshows

CEHD's 2015 undergraduate ceremony included graduating student Bobby Bell, former Gopher and NFL star, who began his degree at the U of M in the early 1960s. U of M President Eric Kaler gave the keynote speech.


CEHD's 2015 graduate ceremony included graduating students Leila Farah, who is among the U of M's first Somali-born doctoral graduates, University regent Abdul Omari, and Nelson Masanche Nkhoma, the first alum of Malawi's University of Livingstonia to earn a doctorate. Carlos Mariani, Executive Director, Minnesota Education Equity Partnership, gave the keynote speech.
