Development Officer
612-625-4546 | rburbach@umn.edu
About Richard

The privilege of assisting the distinguished alumni and many friends of the College of Education and Human Development expresses both Richard’s personal values and professional priorities. His greatest satisfaction comes with linking the generous desires of donors with the work of a world-class faculty and the needs of our excellent students.

Richard was a member of the Jesuit order for twenty-three years. In addition to associating him to a broad range of colleges and universities, this provided the opportunity to be a high school teacher in the mid-1980s. Richard came to the University from the College of Saint Benedict where he had served in a similar major gift officer role since 2002.

Richard grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to Minnesota in 1978. He is a Political Science graduate of Creighton University. He holds a Masters degree in Political Science from St. Louis University and a Master of Divinity from the Boston Theological Union.
