Each year, the University of Minnesota and the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) recognize and celebrate alumni, students, and friends for their outstanding achievement and service. Alumni are honored at various stages of their careers.

The CEHD Alumni Society will recognize the outstanding achievements of our graduates at the Exceptional Alumni Awards Celebration on April 30, 2026. During the event, we will recognize the 2026 Alumni Awards of Excellence, Rising Alumni Awards and the Distinguished International Alumni Award.

Rising Alumni Award Rising Alumni Award

The Rising Alumni Award recognizes young professionals who earned their degree from CEHD within the last ten years, have made a significant impact in their profession or community at large and have achieved early distinction as leaders.

The Alumni Award of Excellence recognizes CEHD alumni who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and leadership in their profession, served as mentors to others in their field, or shown exceptional volunteer service.

The CEHD Distinguished International Alumni Award recognizes outstanding achievements of international CEHD alumni to educational progress in their country.
