Staff positions

Post-Doctoral Associate

We seek an individual to provide research consulting services, develop and compile research resources, and coordinate initiatives for the Research Methodology Consulting Center. This individual will be committed to supporting faculty and graduate student research projects as well as producing original research while pursuing collaboration opportunities both internal and external to the University. The initial appointment will be for one year, with an option for a second year based on performance and continued availability of funding.

Fin Pro 4 Supv-Fin Gnrlst

We seek an individual to provide professional accounting, analysis, and financial services consultation for assigned complex, diverse, and high-volume financial portfolios. These portfolios include tuition revenue, state allocations and specials, foundation and endowments funds, internal and external sales, sponsored projects, grants, and indirect cost recovery (ICR) funds. The individual in this position is responsible for developing complex budgets, creating customized reporting, analyzing financial trends, preparing financial forecasts, reconciling, and approving financial transactions.

Research Professional 3

We seek an individual to support the research of the Gunnar Laboratory for Developmental Psychobiology Research in the Institute of Child Development. The individual in this position will have knowledge of child development theory and research and sufficient research experience to be able to conduct rigorous statistical analyses, prepare manuscripts for publication, andmentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students.

TRIO UB Residential Coordinator & Advisor

We seek an expert in college access and readiness programming and development for first-generation and low-income high school-aged youth. You will be responsible for academic advising and student development in all facets of college readiness, including academic, personal, social, cultural, and behavioral.

Director for Strategic Initiatives

We seek an individual to be a critical member of the Multidisciplinary Institute for Child Welfare’s (MICW) team who works collaboratively to drive, facilitate, and support strategic projects, directives, and initiatives. The person in this position will provide strategic advice and counsel, possess a high level of technical knowledge and integrity, and demonstrate competency in cross cultural work.

ETI Full Stack Developer

We seek an individual to be responsible for creating and crafting applications for some of the amazing research done within the University. The person in this role will focus on building and enhancing modern web applications, including having responsibility for application development, estimation, planning, architecture, performance, security, and testing. You will contribute to both the front-end and back-end parts of projects, from building user interfaces to creating APIs, from integrating with external systems to defining an application’s data model.

Literacy specialist

We seek a literacy specialist to support the development and delivery of professional services and resources for educators who focus on evidence-based instructional practices in literacy. The primary purpose is to improve the quality of education for all learners. Individuals in this role will possess an in-depth level of knowledge of the science of reading and multi-tiered systems of support as well as expertise in the field of education leadership and systems improvement.

Administrative Manager 2

We seek an individual to lead program re-approval, University re-accreditation, and external compliance for all teacher education programs on the Twin Cities campus with Minnesota statutes and rules. This includes managing support for program design and improvement, designated school partnerships, clinical experiences, candidate supports, teacher educator qualifications, unit and program oversight, and school counseling programs. There are currently 43 unique programs located in three colleges across the Twin Cities campus.

G&C Pro 4-Pre-Award Admin

The Office of Research & Policy (ORP) supports sponsored funding/research activities within CEHD. ORP provides highly specialized services that are responsive to researchers’ individual needs, which may include activities classified as grants, gifts, or external sales. The office’s pre-award grant coordinators work one-on-one with faculty to develop grant proposals and serve as the first point of contact for research-related questions in their units. We seek an individual to carry a small, assigned workload, serve as a floater to assist with high workloads in other collegiate units, and assist with complex proposals.

Pre K-12 Specialist

We seek a literacy specialist to support the development and delivery of professional services and resources for educators who focus on evidence-based instructional practices in literacy. The primary purpose is to improve the quality of education for all learners. Persons in this role will possess an in-depth level of knowledge of the science of reading and multi-tiered systems of support as well as expertise in the field of education leadership and systems improvement. Grow the next generation of literacy educators with UMN's Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement.

PACC & PLX Community Trainer

We seek an individual to support statewide training of professionals engaged in service to children and families involved in social service agencies. This individual will provide high quality, culturally responsive, competency-based training to county and tribal child welfare professionals as well as professionals working in mental health, chemical and behavioral health, education, court and legal arenas, etc. Duties include classroom preparation and training and providing coaching and feedback to trainers.
