Jonathan Andicoechea, University of Minnesota PhD graduate in Curriculum & Instruction in CEHD passed away April 2025. Jonathan, a TRIO champion and passionate educator, had a profound impact on all whom he had an opportunity to meet and interact with, especially the students he taught and mentored.
Once again, CEHD had a strong showing in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 listing of the best graduate schools. Among public universities, CEHD ranks 15th in the nation and tied for 24th overall.
Dr. Chiraprapha Akaraborworn currently serves as Dean of the Graduate School of Human Resource Development at the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA).
Dr. Patricia K. Kubow is Professor and Program Chair in International and Comparative Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Indiana University.
CEHD has a Touchdown Workspace (TDWS) Program that has been operational for four months. Six users were asked to share their experiences with the program.
On February 17, 2025, the College of Education and Human Development hosted a Policy Luncheon at the Minnesota State Capitol, bringing together approximately 50 educational leaders, policymakers, to discuss the future of computer science education.
On January 7, CEHD hosted more than 200 educational and clinical leaders and policymakers for a Policy Breakfast at McNamara Alumni Center on the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus.
