CEHD Academic Award 2025-26
CEHD Academic Development Award aims to support students’ academic and career growth within the framework of global experiences. Awards up to $500 will be given to 6 currently enrolled students. ALL students are eligible to apply, and priority will be given to applicants whose work aligns with CEHD International Initiatives' mission: “Being in community with the world to understand human learning and development.” Further, the college is committed to international students and scholars, whose perspectives enrich our campuses; to global research that advances solutions for a complex world; and to cross-border collaborations that build understanding, innovation, and hope.
How to apply
Award information
The amount of award: up to $500
The award will support any academic and career development opportunities, eligible activities include:
- Travel
- Attending a conference (travel costs, conference fee)
- Attending a career development seminar that is relevant to your discipline (travel costs, seminar fee)
- Other research related activities
- Funding for research related expenses (e.g., participant honorarium, data collection, transcription, etc)
Application & eligibility
Eligibility requirements:
- Currently enrolled students in good academic standing
- Students who have not previously received this grant
Application deadline: Friday, January 16, 2026
Required application materials:
- Application form
- Purpose statement/Cover letter (1 page) should include a clear statement on how this grant will impact your academic and/or career goals.
- Activity budget and schedule
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Brief faculty/advisor support statement
- Submit all documents together in one PDF document

Can I apply for an activity that has already taken place?
Yes, you can apply for reimbursement of a past event within the same academic year.
Who can be a recommender?
Recommenders can be faculty advisors or other faculty and staff who you think would best advocate and support your activity.
Can you wait for a faculty/advisor support statement submission after the deadline?
No, faculty/advisor support statement must be submitted by the deadline.
Are undergraduate students eligible to apply?
Yes, undergraduate students can apply. You are expected to demonstrate how the activity relates to your academic/career goals in the statement of purpose.
Who will review my application?
All applications will be reviewed by the CEHD International Student Advisory Group, the group includes CEHD faculty, staff, and students.
If my application is selected, will I receive the full amount which I apply for?
The grant review committee reserves the right to adjust the amount awarded to each grant.
