Commencement 2020

Hail to thee logo
The theme for the celebration is “Hail to Thee,” the University’s alma mater and a reference from Minnesota’s state song chosen to reflect the University’s admiration for your incredible resilience in these stressful times.

On May 16, the University of Minnesota will honor all 2020 undergraduate and graduate students during a virtual commencement. Join us at 11 a.m. CDT for the Twin Cities campus online celebration and at 11:15 a.m. for the CEHD commencement ceremony.

The CEHD virtual celebration will include:

  • Dean Jean Quam, video messages for graduate students and undergraduate students
  • Rashné Jehangir, associate professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development, a video message for all students
  • Dan-neya Yancey, Family Social Science graduate and undergraduate student speaker
