Shuji Asai

Shuji Asai is the University’s Compliance Officer for Teacher Licensing. He is responsible for reviewing the final applications for licensure and certifying them once all requirements are complete.

        Shuji Asai is the University’s Compliance Officer for Teacher Licensing. He is responsible for reviewing the final applications for licensure and certifying them once all requirements are complete. He works to ensure program compliance with credentialing requirements for U of M undergraduate and graduate licensure program completers in three colleges (CEHD, CLA, and CFANS).

        In addition, as a teacher education scholarship manager, Shuji ensures that funding for teacher candidates is managed in accordance with internal approval processes, University of Minnesota policies, external accreditation standards, administrative rules, state licensing requirements, and the requirements of state and federal agencies for scholarships and grants.
